Know Our Story

Rangat began with us, Jyoti and Tamoha, two women shaped by the fast-paced world of marketing, deadlines, meetings, numbers, and constant motion. Life was full, but somewhere between the noise of everyday work, we both held on to a quieter love, the joy of jewellery, dressing up, and the confidence that comes from feeling adorned.

For Jyoti, it was always about expression. A love for storytelling, beauty, and building something with meaning. She believed that what we wear can shift how we feel, and that even the smallest detail can make an ordinary day feel special.

For Tamoha, it was about instinct and intention. A sharp eye for aesthetics, detail, and what truly feels timeless. She brought patience, taste, and the ability to shape ideas into something tangible and beautiful.

Individually, we brought different strengths. Together, we shared one belief: women deserve more beauty in their everyday lives.

What began as conversations soon became a real pursuit. We wanted to create pieces that felt rooted yet modern, joyful yet timeless, expressive yet effortless. Pieces that were not saved only for occasions, but worn through real life, coffee runs, work days, weddings, dinners, and everything in between.

That search took us to Jaipur and Varanasi, two cities where Indian craftsmanship has flourished for centuries. We travelled there ourselves to meet artisans, understand the process, and find the right hands to bring Rangat to life.

In Jaipur, meenakari has been practiced since the 16th century, introduced and nurtured under royal patronage, and has remained one of the city’s most celebrated art forms ever since. In Varanasi, generations of craftsmen have carried forward traditions of ornamentation, metalwork, and hand-finishing that are deeply woven into the cultural history of the city.

We spent time meeting artisan families and workshops where many craftsmen have dedicated 20, 30, and even 40 years of their lives to mastering these skills. In several cases, the craft has been passed down through three or four generations. What we found was not just technique, but devotion, patience, and pride.

Every Rangat piece is thoughtfully sourced from these skilled hands and brought to you with care. Behind every bangle is time, heritage, and the quiet excellence of artisans who have spent decades perfecting their work.

But Rangat is not only about jewellery. It is about what jewellery can represent. Joy. Confidence. Femininity. Playfulness. Identity. It is about remembering that women do not need a special reason to feel beautiful. They do not need permission to celebrate themselves.

We are still at the beginning of this journey. There is a long road ahead, many more collections to build, more artisan communities to support, more stories to tell, and more women to reach.

Rangat is growing one piece, one order, one happy customer, and one dream at a time.

Thank you for being here at the start.

With love,
Jyoti & Tamoha
