Frequently Asked Questions

Sizing
What size are Rangat bangles?
Free size. Every Rangat bangle is one size and opens with a clasp, so it fits without a measurement. Indian bangles are normally sold in sizes like 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8, measured across the inside diameter — numbers most people do not know, and certainly do not know for someone else. That is the reason most bangles bought online get sent back, and it is the reason we removed the question. More on what free size actually means.
Will free size fit me?
It fits most adult wrists. The bangle opens at a clasp rather than having to be forced over the hand, which is what makes one size workable.
What if I am buying it as a gift?
Then free size matters more, not less — you do not need to know their size at all. Every order also arrives in a wooden bandhani-print box, so there is nothing to wrap.
Materials
What are Rangat bangles made of?
18K gold plated over stainless steel, with hand-applied enamel colour in a modern meenakari style. The enamel is worked by hand, so no two pieces are identical.
Will they turn my skin green?
No. Green marks come from copper in the metal reacting with sweat. Stainless steel contains no copper, which is why a steel base is the usual recommendation for people whose skin reacts to jewellery. The full explanation is here.
Are they safe for sensitive skin?
They are made to be worn every day against skin — stainless steel base, 18K gold plating, no exposed base metal. If you have a diagnosed metal allergy, patch-test as you would with any jewellery.
Is this real gold?
It is 18K gold plating over stainless steel, not solid gold. We say so plainly because the difference matters: solid gold bangles start many times higher than ₹1,000. What you are buying is the colour and the finish, on a base that survives daily wear.
Wear and care
Are Rangat bangles waterproof?
Yes. Washing hands, rain and everyday water are fine — the stainless steel base does not corrode and the plating is not damaged by water.
Can I wear them in the shower?
You can, and nothing will happen from the water itself. What actually shortens the life of any plated jewellery is chemistry rather than water: perfume, sanitiser, chlorine and heavy lotions. Put jewellery on last, after those have dried.
Will the colour fade?
Our founder wore the same pair every day for over a year, before Rangat launched, with no fading. That is the honest answer — a year of daily wear on one pair, not a laboratory claim. The hand-applied enamel and the steel base are why it held.
How should I store them?
Separately, and dry. The wooden box your order arrives in is meant for exactly this — enamel chips from knocking against other jewellery far more often than it wears out.
Buying
How much do Rangat bangles cost?
Single bangles are ₹349–499. Stacks are ₹999. Browse under ₹500 or see the full range.
Where can I buy Rangat?
Only at buyrangat.com. We do not sell on Amazon, Meesho, Myntra or any other marketplace, so anything listed elsewhere under our name is not ours.
How is it packaged?
Every order ships in a handmade wooden box covered in bandhani-print fabric, with a brass latch, potpourri and a printed booklet inside. It is a jewellery box meant to be kept, not disposable packaging.
Delivery and returns
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours and typically reach you in 5–10 days depending on your pincode. You get tracking details as soon as it ships.
Do you offer cash on delivery?
No. Orders are prepaid online.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes. Remote pincodes can take a little longer.
Can I return or exchange an order?
Yes — you have 7 days from receiving your order to request a return. Items must be unworn, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase. A ₹100 return fee applies and is deducted from the store credit issued. Full terms are in our refund policy.
About the brand
Who makes Rangat jewellery?
Rangat was founded in March 2026 by Jyoti Vashisth in Gurugram. The pieces are handcrafted in India, and the enamel colour is applied by hand. Read the story.
What does "anti-tarnish" actually mean here?
It is not a regulated term, so it is worth being specific. In our case it means a stainless steel base, which does not corrode, under 18K gold plating. That combination is why the pieces survive sweat and water. We compared how other Indian brands handle this.
